On the 11 March 1992 we founded the association Hasans vänner mot våld och rasism (Friends of Hasan against violence and racism), building on a concept of direct democracy with the members meeting making all major decisions. All the individual groups within Hasans vänner work with projects they are interested in and are self-responsible for these projects.

  • Saami Council The Saami Council was established in 1956 and in general its purposes are:
  • to promote the interests of the Saami as a nation;
  • to consolidate the feeling of affinity among the Saami people;
  • to attain recognition for the Saami as a nation and to maintain the economic, social and cultural rights of the Saami in the legislation of the four states. (Norway, Sweden, Russia and Finland)
    This can be achieved through agreements between these states and the bodies representing the Saami people, the Saami parliaments.

    The Ombudsman against Discrimination on grounds of Sexual Orientation (HomO) is appointed by the Government. The authority is commissioned to combat homophobia and discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation in all areas of Swedish society. The right to not be subjected to unjust treatment because of one's sexual orientation - or, expressed in more everyday terms, the right to love whomever one wishes - is a basic human right, not a negotiable concession.

    The mediacritical network Allt är Mojligt (Everything is Possible) monitors and questions female and male stereotypes in image. We promote diversity.
    Allt är Möjligt is a non-profit organization that was founded in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 1992. We participate in the public discussion in different ways: we report discriminating ads, talk back to the media and companies, write columns and opinion articles.     The Link Larder is a database for educational use and is meant to be a pedagogical aid for Swedish pupils, especially those between 10 and 15 years of age, in their search for useful information on the Internet. The Link Larder consists of subject structured and quality-assessed Internet information resources. All the web sites are classified and arranged in 12 main groups. The classification is based upon the traditional Swedish classification system for public and school libraries.
  • ECMI The European Centre for Minority Issues is a non-partisan, bi-national institution founded in 1996 by the Governments of the Kingdom of Denmark, the Federal Republic of Germany, and the German State of Schleswig-Holstein.   • EWL/LEF. The European Women's Lobby is the largest co-ordinating body of national and European non-governmental women's organisations in the European Union, with over 2,700 member associations in the 15 Member States.
