Seit 1992 haben über 100 Gedenkdiener, meistens um die 20 Jahre alt, an Holocaust-Gedenkstätten mitgearbeitet und die Geschichte des Holocaustes aufgearbeitet, anstatt daheim einen Wehrdienst zu leisten.
