    DRC is an independant organization (NGO). DRC has humanrights conventions as its foundation. DRC documents racial discrimination in Denmark and provides advice as well as juridicial support to victims of or witnesses to racial discrimination. DRC tries to influence peoples attitude towards etnic minorities through conferences, seminars, courses and debats.

    The overall aim of FINFO is to provide representatives of ethnic minorities with better access to information about their rights, obligations and opportunities in the Danish society. Access to information is considered a prerequisite to integration into society and to active participation in all spheres of social life.
    FINFO is a joint programme of the Danish Central Library for Immigrant Literature, the Public Libraries in the Municipality of Århus, and the regional and municipal libraries.

Roma, Sinti & Travellers

  • Romano Denmark's oldest gipsy association
    "ROMANO" is Denmark's oldest Roma association. It was founded in 1942 as a subunit of the famous resistance group "Holger Danske" ("Holger the Dane") and it helped Jews, gypsies and other refugees escape the Nazis to Sweden. Later it saw that Finnish gipsy children were included in the contingent of Finnish children that came to Denmark and that Finnish gipsy war invalids could come to Denmark for recuperation although gypsies were officially by law forbidden entrance to the Kingdom of Denmark until 1952.

    "Romano" has as its main goals:
    - to show solidarity with and assist gypsies and travelers in Denmark, assisting in securing their human rights and rights of citizenship in both the social and cultural fields.
    - to increase public knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the history and culture of the gypsies, to develop information and educational material that presents an alternative and broader understanding of the reality of gipsy life.
    - to effect this by publications, media productions, courses, training, teaching, information, exhibition, theatre and concert activities.
    - to initiate and support project and media activities furthering these goals.

Human Rights/Refugees

    Art In Defence Of Human rights based on the humanistic principles and the belief in Human Rights. In far too many countries neither of the two are respected and human lives are wasted for no apparent reason - often due to war, exploitation or starvation. Basic morals and ethics are abandoned in the name of power or ignorance. AIDOH has no ties to political opinion-making. Everyone can join as long as they back up and respect the two main principles. Nor is it tied to any religious belief, AIDOH should be perceived as an open forum for ideas, discussions and activities.

    1. the strengthening of public interest in the United Nations,
    2. the understanding of the mutual dependency of nations and the common responsibility for international developments, and
    3. the realisation of the principles, on which the UN is built, with the purpose of enlarging the UN so as to become a global authority, which can safeguard human rights, enforce international judicial order, prevent conflicts and create peace, security, co-operation and sustainable development.
